Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R

I’ve had my '01 J-model for a while now and honestly, it’s one of the best street sports bikes from that era. Unlike modern supersports, it’s actually comfortable to ride on public roads. The seat is wide and the riding position won’t wreck your wrists or lower back after an hour. The carbureted engine has surprisingly good mid-range grunt and is basically bulletproof if you keep the oil fresh. The only real headache is the 6-pot Tokico front calipers. They are notorious for getting spongy and the pistons like to stick if you don't clean them regularly. Aside from that, parts are dirt cheap and it's super easy to wrench on yourself. An absolute bargain compared to an early R6 or GSX-R. A proper 90s classic you can actually live with every day.
