Salisbury Motorcycle & Light Car Club have their annual charity Mavro motorcycle run in remembrance of of Michel Noël (George) Mavrogordato (1903 – 1984). He led a very eventful life as an early aviator, TT racer and Salisbury motorcycle shop owner. The run starts at 11am The Wyndam Arms Dinton with signing on from 10am. The route is fully marked and run through scenic Wilts & Dorset country roads & returning to the pub for lunch. Coffee and bacon butties available before run, and a good lunch can be booked in advance. £8 entry fee. Proceeds to Salisbury Trust for the Homeless.
