I will do my best to remember this and add both times in future posts.I am organizing a Rose Ride for EMT and firefighter Michael Wilcox. Mike was an EMT with Starke County EMS and also a firefighter/EMT with San Pierre Fire. He was taken from his family and friends tragically in a vehicle crash while working with Starke County EMS on August 5, 2023.Every rider will drop a single rose near the memorial ambulance at Starke County EMS Station #3 at 1102 S. Main St, Knox, IN in honor of Mike and in support of his family and our brothers and sisters in in public safety.The tentative rally point will be at Tierney Park in San Pierre. Lineup will start at 430 PM CT/5:30 PM ET on Wednesday August 16th. This is located on 421 just south of the town of San Pierre on the East side of the road.Ride meeting will commence at 5:30PM CT/6:30PM ET where we will have the ride route announced. We are still looking for Police escorts or fire chase vehicle escorts for intersection coverage. If you know someone that can, please let us know ASAP.KICK stands up at around 5:45 PM CT/6:45PM ET headed toward Knox, by way of San Pierre Fire.Every rider should provide their own rose as we do not have the means to provide them. Walgreens and CVS have single roses.We are asking for a donation of $5 per rider. This is not required to participate. The donations will be taken before kickstands up and will be given to the family at the conclusion of the ride.
