Adventures of YB125 in Peru, part 4
Let's continue talking about our trip to Peru!
We spent the night above 4500 m, and in the morning they warmed and scraped the bike off snow.
And then we found real traces of dinosaurs on a vertical wall that walked here more than 230 million years ago. Also nearby there was a wall with petrified plants.
Then we went to the capital of Peru, Lima. For this, it was necessary to descend to 3,500 meters to the ocean.
We spent in Lima about a week, walking and eating off seafood, trying the cuisine from all over the country. Of course, tried pisco.
Then we went along the coast to the national park Parakas. This is a surprisingly beautiful place! Sea lions, dolphins, red beaches, unreal color of water, pelicans, a lot of sand ... Check it out:
After that, we stopped in Iku, where they made a planned maintenance and visited the museum of Dr. Cabrero with strange and ambiguous stones, which depicted dinosaurs, aliens, surgeries and so on.
My old dream came true to try sandboarding on huge dunes!
Then we drove past the Nazca lines and the Palpa geoglyphs, which were viewed from the observation tower and then from the hill, since we had no money for the plane. And then we went to Cuzco, again rising to cooler regions at about 3000 meters above sea level, where vicuña and flamingos live.
