Jumping off a motorcycle at a speed of 160 mph (almost 260 km/h)?
Not the best solution, but sometimes there is no choice. Eugene Laverty did so on the 13th lap of the first Superbike race in Imola. The Briton clash with Alex Awesom turn earlier, and as a result his motorcycle was damaged brake hoses. Eugene lost control and was forced to jump off the bike, which at full speed crashed into a security fence and burst into flames. Laverty has not received serious injuries.
