As for the road, the tarmac is clean and smooth almost the whole way, though those crosswinds near Brouwersdam will definitely keep you on your toes! Stopping at Kinderdijk with the old windmills and cruising into the star fortress town of Willemstad made the history side of the trip really memorable. Wrapping it up with the ocean air at Banjaard beach before looping back to Rotterdam made the whole day feel like a proper coastal escape.
