253km Breakfast run 08/08/2020

There is a Kawasaki KLE650 that has mysteriously found itself in my garage. I was still thinking where to go and test the bike as I found it very enjoyable in my neighborhood, now I wanted an open road with curves. I thought why not take my Dear Lovely Lady for a ride up N7 in the afternoon, but few Buddies of mine invited me on the eleventh hour for a breakfast run and I though 💭 why not? I can still take a afternoon ride with my lady.

What a breath taking and mind liberating ride we had, riding from False Bay Engen Garage on the N2, where we met number of riders, some were taking a ride to the South most tip of Africa, and we were just doing our round trip, we Road towards Gordan's Bay to take pics at the Water treatment plants, and we continued via R44 though the whale route all the way to Kleinmond where we had Brunch.

Left Kleinmond and the Weather was fine and we took N2 towards Grabouw, took a right turn and found ourselves being blown by speeding gusts of wind all the way to Franschoek.

Franschoek is a little beautiful town in a valley in the winelands, took pics at the Pass top, and the roads led to Stellenbosch through Helshoogte after a little village of Pniel. Via Khayamandi, we went to join Bottlery Road and We split Brackenfell I to the R300 route join N2 being blown all the way to Khayelitsha my home.

it was a ride well done.

challenges :
1. we left late at Meet up point.
2. One of our mates had to turn from there and abort the run as his bike was giving him problems.
3. Wind wind wind.

Benefits :
1. Amazing Ride buddies.
2. Lot of pics and Selfies.
3. Amazing route.
4. Amazing Brunch
5. Conversations about the state our unequal country is at after 26 years of democracy.

Thank to:
