Bukshoek Campsite (Clanwilliam, Western Cape, South Africa 🇿🇦)

Bulshoek campsite situated just outside Clanwilliam has always been a favorite weekend getaway for me and was taken there for the first time when I was about 8 years old (I’m now 42). The farm is owned by Hilda and managed by Willem now who will always meet you on arrival. Bulshoek campsite is a perfect weekend getaway or an overnighter on a long trip.

With both camping or self catering cabins Bulshoek Campsite has what you need. Cabins have own shower and toilet and campsite has clean ablutions. Simple rules to follow: No Music. Respect your fellow camper....pretty simple.

Bass fishing can be enjoyed too, other fish also in the area so if you into casting a line, bring your tackle.

Super dark nights on moonless nights will make the stars pop so bright and will leave you in awe at the beauty of the celestial bodies and visible satellites. Bring your DSLR camera to capture the Milky Way. Don’t forget bug repellent 😀. Light the campfire, cook dinner and relax!
