In about 1986, I lived in Ashville NY (snow belt) and put 1.25” sheet metal screws through the tires of my XL250 from the inside out on my knobbies and rode a couple miles into town and back...it was -19f. Rode it a lot that winter...man it handles great in about 6” of snow...would corner like it was on rails!!!

I did that once. Had an xr250. I had short screws...revved the engine about a half mile from home, lost most of the screws and had to walk back home. I’ve always wanted to try it again....but do it right. Would be cool to ride to work like that with ice on the roads.
