Quick! Before winter switches on!

April 26 (Anzac Day here is Oz; when we reflect of the sacrifices made of all in WWI) has a reputation around here of being when winter gets switched on. So...grabbing the opportunity to get out of town for a couple of days before that happens. Quick stop at Lake George. Not sure if it’s a true ephemeral lake. It is unusual these days to see water in it (we’ve had a bit of rain in these parts). I can recall times, in the early 80s, though, when the old road that ran by its edge would regularly be down to one lane because of water over it!
