One of the great legends of our country - RIP Sir
Another of the giants of our automotive childhood has left us. Craig Breedlove has died at 86 years old. The guy came from a country and time where our dreams were formed by jet fighter pilots, race car drivers, and astronauts!Breedlove, Shelby, Gurney, Yeager, Glenn and other amazing Americans inspired us all and helped raise the vision and dreams of our country! I grew up watching these giants do great things!... a time when we watched Apollo rocket launches in school, and jet engine powered cars at Bonneville built by privateers were closing in on the sound barrier! In my childhood America everything seemed possible! Breedlove was the first human to exceed 500 mph on the ground in The "Spirit of America" in 1964 and he ultimately ran a tick over 600 mph in 1965!"Spirit of America" was well named. Godspeed Mr. Breedlove!Dave Smith
