Making a free bike stand work!
I was kindly given a paddock stand of unknown make. I wasn't sure if it was a front or rear as the fittings appeared to be for the front. I carefully measured the diameter and length of the existing fittings, then ordered these. While they worked, it was difficult to use, as the springs on my fittings made it hard to locate them in the bobbins. I therefore, marked and drilled the shafts of these hooks, so I could insert the split pin in order that they were the exact width for my interceptor 650 bobbins. Having done this modification, they fit the bike and lift it easily.
