Welcome to my Triumph 'Black' Tiger Cub Rebuild

I have started my next, rather secret build project 'Hidden Tiger', named so as the misses doesn't know about it! As I had a spare engine which is the most expensive part of a bike and a lot of other spares it just made sense.

The ongoing saga of someone who bought at auction a T20CA, sight unseen.

The T20CA is a 'Triumph Tiger Cub, Competition America', a rare roadster model, it was a hybrid on road, off road, export model. They were only made for two years, 1958 and 1959, mine is one of 14 that were manufactured in 1958 and it is one of only 6 that were exported to the USA that year. So they're about as rare as 'Black Tigers'. The 'America' part of the name is due to the majority of the T20CA's being exported to the USA but this may just have come about from common usage and not actually be the official Triumph designation.
