Seemed like a great idea at the time...
So back in Nov 2019, I decided to start stripping my '98 Suzuki 600 SRAD with a view to making it sit more upright.
I'd bought the bike in Jun 2013 to replace a previous SRAD, and had been commuting on it all-weather since, so with 6 years of heavy use and five motorway spills (? f@&ing commuters!) she was beginning to look and sound a little worse for wear.
I had no experience with this kind of work but was fairly capable and had a strong vision of what I wanted.
So I started stripping the plastics, the front headlight assembly, handlebars, rearsets and lights. With that done, I spent yhe winter scouring eBay for parts I could use in the rebuild.
Then COVID happened, and the whole game changed... (more to come, follow for updates)
*all parts are available if wanted
