The trip from Snake Valley to Geelong

The trip from Snake Valley to Geelong was a happy affair, however overshooting a turnoff saw me on some tiny backroads for a short while.

Arriving in Geelong I proceeded to the Geelong Gaol Museum that I had heard about in an Australian crime/ history podcast. The gaol was an interesting 19 century building with many of the cells having a story of one of the incarcerated villains. The building is substantial, generally intact and the exhibition focuses on the notable prisoners, rather than the daily operational workings of the gaol.

After visiting the gaol I attempted to visit the maritime museum but sadly it was closed, so I rode back to town.
