Ossuary Honoring 7,014 Fallen Soldiers

The ossuary was designed by sculptor Giannino Castiglioni and architect Giovanni Greppi, and was erected next to the church of St. Anthony in Gradič above Kobarid in 1938. The ossuary was erected in memory of the 7,014 Italian soldiers who fell in World War I in the areas around Kobarid, Bovec, Tolmin and Rombon.
