The bike that was ahead of its time – the Yamaha TDM850, arguably the first crossover-style bike

(even if the front wheel started as an 18" in 1991, switched to 17" in 1996, then back to an 18" in 2002 😆)

The TDM got the 270 degree crank by the 2nd gen in 1996, which gave it that V-twin vibe – commonplace today but back in the 1990s, it was the only bike that did, besides its more sportier sibling the TRX850.

The TDM doesn't exist today, but if it did...
