NSU's innovative "Flying Hammock" design featured a feet-forward riding position, minimizing the frontal area and reducing wind resistance. This aerodynamic design enabled H.P. "Happy" Mueller to reach an impressive 150 mph (241 km/h) on a 250cc bike at the Bonneville Salt Flats in 1956.
