Third party angle Paid Carole Nash for Breakdown Cover. Got 25 Hours of Nothing From RAC UK

My bike broke down and it took 25 hours and 45 minutes to get recovered after my first call 😡

What happened:
I called RAC 6 times after my first call at 13:30 on 02/08/26.
My fellow biker friends waited 4 hours with me.

I was given 2 options: leave my bike and get a taxi home and claim £150 back, or sort recovery with another contractor at nearly 2am.
No show overnight. No recovery vehicle attended, like they said.

I waited alone at a pub car park until nearly 2am.
Police checked on me at 2am and were amazing. I was cold, tired, and my phone had no battery left. Those two officers from Norwich really helped me and took me to a Holiday Inn to rest.

At 7:30 on 03/08/2026, the RAC app was still showing an estimated arrival time of 11:20AM - 2:20PM.
More calls were made. At 9:20 recovery said they knew where the bike was. Again, I had no text updates so I had to rush out and get a taxi.

My bike sat at Sprowston Rd, Norwich until 9:45.
I was then dropped at IP24 1WN BP on the A11 and had to wait for another recovery to get home.
I called my lovely friend Kevin who drove over an hour to join me. He made calls for me and drove me home as I was starting to feel unwell du to missing out of night and morning medications etc…

The bike was finally delivered at 15:15.

Please if you ride, think twice about RAC. 25hrs to recover and zero duty of care….
