Went on the 6th annual Rally & Ride out of the Darkness ryde today.

Winter Haven to Lakeland. Fully escorted. About 600+ bikes. Dozens of Jeeps and other 4 wheelers. I hope anyone reading this has never been touched by suicide. They say 17 to 22 veterans "Per Day" take their own lives. So, when ever I can help with awareness, I will. At the end of the ride there were dozens of food trucks, including beer, and dozens of venders. Just for us. Before we started, they had a singer for the National Anthem, and a plane fly over trailing smoke. Did my Ole patriotic heart good. They also had a dressed out color guard from a Fire Department. Now, i've seen many, many color guards, but this was my first time seeing a Fire Department one. The guards flanking the stars and stripes were not carrying rifles, but big shiny hatches. I loved it. I will definitely go next year.
