How i building GPZ900 (Part 1)

The beginning of the process....Just got the rear R1 subframe back from my mates, he's just welded some extender blocks inside the tubular subframe, needs cleaning up before I get some cross members welded inside to strengthen it. tail unit and seat fit perfect, sits up nicely at the back end.
One piece LED tail/indicator unit mocked up.
Need to design some brackets to mount the tank properly, but hornet tank fits snug.
It's seems to of taken ages to de seem the cylinder head, and clean up the valves.
Next job clean clylinder head of all crap, and re seat valves.
Then spray head put back valve train, and mount back on block.

Cylinder head underway.
Head dee seemed
12 valves lapped 4 to go
Leak test to do.
Head to re spray.

Rear end tacked up, sits well and suspension works
Rear subframe needs some cross supports welding in.
Top yokes strengthened and flats now machined for Rizoma Risers.
Rizoma Bars fitted Grips test fitted.
Brembo RCS fitted and Venhill lines test fitted.
R1 Tail End sits well.

Engine in but no cams fitted yet.
Jut picked up a fairly decent Ol Cooler kept it Standard GPZ900r
also picked up a ZRX750 Rad.
4 into 1 Exhaust will be Thermo tech White Wrappped.
Feel like Bikes beginning to take shape

Just manufactured a cross link oil pipe so I can get more oil to the head.

just re stripped the top end down, and fitted larger oil feed pipes.
Also mounted the new carbs.
test mounted two different types of radiator, a decent replacement GPZ900 and a brand new ZXR750. both look good.
I can either go naked with ZXR , or Mount Original one and re mount GPZ Fairing, which actually looks pretty good.
Looking a bit more like a bike

Ive gone of the idea of the large radiator, and a naked front end ive gone with with standard GPZ one, ive also mocked up the full GPZ Fairing, i think it looks pretty good, if i go with this the bike overall wiil be sprayed a BMW carbon black its like a flat black,Headlight will be twin small projecter lamps, the front will be filled in around them.

Still not 100% happy with the faired front, still have the option of the twin front lights.

Thought Id bring all you fighters up to date with my build, Had a good day at it today feel ive accomplished quite a lot. hoping to it running in the next month or so.Pictures below hope you like the mods, decided not to go with the fairing, and keep it naked.
New litho Battery mounts perfectly below rear subframe.
Decided to try a new from light , and go naked
Connected up power just to test font and rear lights.
Chopped up bottom fairing mounts, which also mounts oil cooler
Test mounted Z636 Rad using Mechano

Front light unit test mounted Thank god for Mechano

Litho Battery under rear subframe just test mounted.
