How i building GPZ900 (Part 6)
All stripped Down again.Having just finished the rear end, or so i thought all torqued up ,wheel fitted new Cush rubbers fitted all nice and tight and by tight i mean the Chain would tear the tyres to pieces.so back to the Drawing Board back end now looks like this.
Need to move the wheel out 5mm
Left side Swingarm needs +5 mm spacer making, Right Hand needs -5 of the current Bushing
Lower suspension mount fitting to swingers needs 5 mm plus on One side and 5mm offset and Shock end.
Front Sprocket now re aligned after modifying offset spacer
New Green Race Chain sat on Sprockets I think I over calculated on the number of links, matches wheels nicely
Rear Subframe now back in place.
Coils now fitted and started the wiring 4 wires done so far just to the coils.
Wheel Now needs another 5 mm spacer adding to throw back in lineSo Just ordered 130 Dia 6 inch lump of alloy from Clickmetal Once that comes in back on the Chester model B lathe, this lathe of mine should of exploded by now the amount of stick Its had over the last two years.Front wheel still to setup yet.
Chain now All fitted and adjusted and drive Chain Cover Plate and Clutch now fitted and Blead
Coils in Place with 4 New wires now connected, I've made special angled spacers to tilt them outwards.
Brake Calipers Now fitted.
Both Front Brake Lines routed and fitted
Been doing a bit tonight.
Had to Machine a Nylon bush to sit over part of the lower frame decided to modify it and utilise it as a chain tensioner.
Also drilled and tapped the Side stand to put a drilled stop on it.
Took of the Drive Chain Housing and re machined a cut out, turned out Gear change mechanism was catching at the back
Drilled and Tapped side Stand Mount, and machined a smaller Diameter on a cap head to hit the stand at the right height and angle.
Modifying the Drive Chain Cover Plate, the Gear Linkage catches the Plate underneath.
Top View Rizoma Bars Resoviors and Throttle.
Managed to Modify the inner spacer and bolts so i could fit the Mirrors i really wanted to fit in the end of the Bars
Drive chain Cover Fitted.
And Gear change linkage works fine now with new bushes.
Rear Brake Linkage Plate
Carbs all fitted and velocity stacks now fitted , and fuelling routed clear.
