Shovelhead restoration

Hey all,

After comparing 3-4 major forums and their post-count-to-reply ratio, I've decided to post the rebuild here.Here's the background:

It has sat in a warehouse for 16 years or more. It was given to me to dispose of "in any manner I felt appropriate" and I couldn't think of a more appropriate way to dispose of it than moving it into my garage.
It's a Frankenstein monster of a bike, having many aftermarket and swapped out parts added. Restoration would be costly & difficult.
The crankcase number indicates a 1981 FXE 80". That number was run through a database that gave me all the numbers that should be attached to the bike with that engine. The casting numbers on the heads are -80s.
What's left of the transmission number suggests it belonged to the bike that the engine number indicated; casting number -80 also.
The front end is some kind of wide glide set up that I'll be looking to get rid of. I have another front end from a '92 FXS I was thinking of rigging up; I like that look more...
