When you know she’s the one
Took a girl out on Sunday for the second time on my bike and we headed up to the blue mountains.
She was still new to bikes so we were just cruising the day and enjoying scenery. But she was going with the flow and I was leaning a little more as we came home.
On the run back into suburbia it is common for the bikes to filter thru the car jams and line up at the lights and today was no different.
Green launches an impromptu drag race to the next jam and we all filter again to the front. This can go on for several occasions with the same bikes lining up again and again. It is all light hearted but when your neighbour nods, you have to respond.
With my novice pillion I was being careful, and loosing to bikes half my size. But still all gathering at the next set of lights. Then another R1200 pulls up beside with a pillion. He nods.
I say to my pillion“hey look, same bike”.
She replies “I’m ready” and I feel her lean in and clamp on.
Yep. She’s the one.
