Honda VFR400R 1995 → V4 Restoration Project "Pocket Rocket" Part 3(3)

I've decided to publish my blog in short parts for your convenience. I think it would be boring to read a restoration blog the size of "War and Peace" :)

Measured the oil clearances of the main and connecting rod journals.

The main journals are within tolerance.

The connecting rod journals are also within tolerance.

Started assembling.

The oil pump was previously checked; although the clearances are within tolerance, I wasn't too happy with the presence of small scratches on the working surfaces of the pump parts. After the next startup, I'll need to measure the oil pressure right away.

Cleaned the oil pan.

Made a gasket for the oil pan, as well as for the rotor cover.

Updated the engine covers a bit: sanded them and polished the inspection cover for the timing marks.

To be continued.
