Honda VFR400R 1995 → V4 Restoration Project "Pocket Rocket" Part 3(6)

I also serviced the front fork, filled the forks with ENI 10W, overhauled the steering, and tightened it.

The bolts for the upper triple clamp were also missing, and it turned out they were threaded M7. I ordered a tap on Ozon, machined on the lathe, and threaded it.

Some more parts arrived.

I updated the start-stop button.

I assembled the bike a bit and saw something frightening:

Something seems off with the exhaust) the ground clearance is way too low) Later, I noticed a barely visible "accordion" on the bends, interesting how that even happened?

I fixed it by filling it with sand, heating, and bending it, probably about 20 attempts before the result was satisfactory.

The plastic, as always, was covered in tons of filler, and underneath it, surprisingly, was the original sticker, lucky me, I can take measurements from it and coordinates for placement on the plastic.

Photo of the current state:

I also came to the conclusion that I got a headache in the form of the cooling system, as the front pipes are made for an NC24 or NC21 frame as I understand it, and there is no lower radiator like on the NC30, but there is an oil cooler, so now I have to rig something up here too)

To be continued...
