Managed to find myself a bottom half of an engine from 1976. Yay!

There are bound to be issues with it - the main one is that it only has a four speed gearbox which is non standard. Not sure if I want to try this out or flog it and buy a five speed...these are going for more than I paid for the rest of the engine!

Basically it's a crank, cylinder, engine cases and a disassembled bodged gearbox. I will be stripping it down to clean and see what condition the crank is in before trying to find the correct gearbox and head later on....

Progress of a sort but it suits my mongrel approach to this build down to a T.
