Honda VFR400R 1995 → V4 Restoration Project "Pocket Rocket" Part 4(3)
I thought I'd install them and forget about it, but nope, turns out the exhaust flanges on the 21 motor are tilted differently than on the NC-30. Had to bend them again, try fitting them like 20 times, and they turned out a bit too short, so I had to machine some extensions-adapters, what a hassle.
Anyway, I thought, now everything will be fine. And it turned out nope, not at all. The lower radiator just wouldn't fit into place, no matter what I did. Ended up grinding off all the upper mounts on the NEW radiator with an angle grinder, and even then, it didn't quite fit properly. Replaced the cooling hoses with new silicone ones.
After messing around with flipping the carbs, it became clear they wouldn't leak by gravity alone anymore, so once again, an old Soviet fuel pump saved me, specifically the one from the Vityaz.
For testing purposes, I brought it outside the plastic.
Started tidying up the details.
