More to come.....
OK - finally had some time before the 6 Nations rugby started to get the bike off the stand, sit down, twist the imaginary throttle and make Vroom Vroom noises (if you tell me you don't - you're lying!)
Anyway, the real purpose was to check out the geometry now the wheels are here. The pegs and handlebar positions all seem good, although I'm not sure about the Renthal fat bars as I can't drill them. I do plan to fit hidden wiring so non-fancy steel bars are the only way forward. .
The prop/side stand is far too short and will need some serious lengthening before it goes on the road. I think I'll drop the forks through the yokes a distance (2 or 3 cm by eye - but may be more....)
It's going to be a few weeks before I can get into serious engine rebuilding so I'm focussing on the rear and front fenders at present. I'm planning to use a rear unit from Baak - a French outfit with some really nice Hinkley Triumph gear. There seems no good reason why I can't use one of their products on this bike.
More to come.....
