Dean Harrison continued to top the Superbike result lists during practice week for the 2018 Isle of Man TT. This evening he cracked the 133mph lap times and set the new unofficial Superbike lap record.
It’s a great practice week for Silicone Engineering rider. Harrison posted the fastest ever opening lap of a Superbike practice week on Monday with a 131.376mph lap at 17min13.886s and seared past his pace from last night on the Kawasaki. Harrison finished the lap in 17m00.192s at 133.140mph! Only by way of comparison, Lee Johnston led the Superstock times with a 128.288mph lap at 17m38.728s, and Lintin was the fastest Supersport runner with a 18m24.980s at 122.923mph.
Also Harrison became the second-ever rider, who managed to dip into the 16-minute lap bracket with a 16m57.728s at a blistering 133.462mph on his second and final Superbike lap.
Michael Dunlop, Tyco BMW’s rider, was the second fastest with a 17m06.516s lap at 132.319mph. His teammate Dan Kneen completed the top three with a 132.258.
Smith’s Racing rider Peter Hickman ended the practice session fourth with a 132.169mph and became the only rider in the 132s, being ahead of Padgett’s Honda Fireblade rider Conor Cummins with a 129.756.
