The fact that Ducati is working on a naked bike version of the new Panigale V4 is not a secret. Ducati boss Domenicali had already confirmed the model. Ducati gives us a hint of what the Streetfighter V4 will look like.At the 2019 Geneva Motor Show, where Ducati presented its new models, Ducati CEO Claudio Domenicali had confirmed to Swiss media that Ducati fans would not have to wait much longer until the premiere of the bike.

The Ducati Streetfighter V4 was always in the pipeline after the launch of the Panigale V4. In fact over the last few months, the motorcycle has been spied testing in Europe multiple times. But now, Ducati has officially confirmed it by releasing photos of the Streetfighter V4 prototype.They reveal a very sexy-looking machine with a sharp design, that naked styling and the famed Ducati V4 motor. The motorcycle will be seen in action at the 2019 Broadmoor Pikes Peak International Hill Climb. It will go through some serious testing with Carlin Dunne, a former Pikes Peak Champion.Ducati believes that the “Race to the Clouds” will be the ideal testing grounds for the Streetfighter V4, which is meant to be ridden on road rather than the racetrack.

Traditionally, the Streetfighter V4 is based on a 1,100 cc engine from the Panigale V4, has no fairings, but gets wider and higher handlebars. In order to maximize the performance of the 1,103 cc engine, the Desmosedici Stradale gets aerodynamic profiles which have been specifically designed for this model.Based on the performance data of the Panigale V4, the V4 Streetfighter with 214 hp and 124 Nm would be the strongest naked bike on the market.

The prototype wears a 'pixelated' livery, which has been designed by Centro Stile Ducati. While the camouflage stickers normally used in prototypes may hide the lines of the motorcycle, the “pixel livery” gives us a fair idea of how the real motorcycle will look.

"The Streetfighter V4 will be one of the stars of the Ducati World Premiere 2020," declared Claudio Domenicali, CEO of Ducati. "Streetfighter V4 is the Panigale for road riding; so there was no better stage than the Broadmoor Pikes Peak International Hill Climb for what will be the highest performance Streetfighter ever put into production."

Ducati will showcase the final production model of the Streetfighter V4 at the 2019 EICMA motorcycle show and it will go on sale from March 2020.
