Operating under the banner of Muklay, Muchlis Fachri is a renowned Indonesian street artist known for his vibrant, and at times controversial work. So when Muklay recently commissioned his own one-off motorcycle project, the results of the build were unsurprisingly just as idiosyncratic, in-your-face, and decisive as Muchlis’s artwork.

A far cry from your typical chopper build, this heavily raked little runner was designed and built by Jakarta-based customs outfit Lemb Inc. using a Honda Dax minibike as the donor. Christened “Ramone,” the project’s name is taken from the ’59 Chevy Impala Lowrider from Disney’s Cars franchise which also sports a near-identical purple livery adorned in flames. Riding on a set of 18-spoke 10” wheels, the now-rigid Dax boasts a 42” solid front fork, a hand-operated suicide shifter with a custom purple resin grip, a bicycle pedal Kickstarter, custom drag bars wrapped in purple grips, a hugely upswept custom chrome exhaust, a small circular yellow-lensed headlight, and a custom white leather chopper-style kickback saddle nestling perfectly in the contours of the build’s custom tail.
