Ultraviolette Acquires Connected Vehicle Tech Start-Up Triloki

Ultraviolette Automotive Private Limited has announced the acquisition of Triloki Smart Systems, a connected vehicle technology start-up, with an eye on scaling up the company's Automotive Intelligence Platform across multiple products and geographies. The acquisition comes just ahead of the Ultraviolette F77 electric sports bike, the company's flagship product, slated to be launched in the first half of 2022. After the India launch, the F77 electric sports bike will be launched in North America and Europe, with launch planned for 2023.

Once launched, the F77 will be India's first high-performance electric motorcycle, with an acceleration of 0-60 kmph in 2.9 seconds a top speed of 140 kmph, and range of 200 km. The F77 is a smart and connected motorcycle that comes with remote diagnostics, over-the-air (OTA) upgrades, regenerative braking, multiple ride modes, bike-tracking, ride diagnostics and a long list of other features, which will be revealed at launch.

Triloki Smart Systems is a Bengaluru-based technology start-up that powers connected vehicle ecosystems with its advanced device technology and next-gen riding experiences. Triloki was founded in 2018 by Dr. Yagna Kalyanaraman and Parikshit Chipalkatti.

Ultraviolette has been actively developing an Automotive Intelligence Platform, the software-based backbone for its connected vehicles to enable data-based insights, intelligent diagnostics, predictive maintenance and an industry-first feature enabling performance-oriented owner personalisation of the F77 through over-the-air upgrades.
