Indian bike maker Bajaj and British brand Triumph Motorcycles had joined hands to launch affordable bikes under a joint venture. These Triumph motorcycles under Bajaj’s partnership were planned to roll out of Bajaj’s Chakan plant. Bajaj also produces KTM and Husqvarna at the same plant.

The Bajaj-Triumph’s made-in-India Motorcycle

The locally made Triumph will be sold in the Indian market as well as for exports.

What’s new on the Bajaj-Triumph Motorcycle?

The bike gets a scrambler design and has been spotted testing in Maharashtra. It receives a luggage carrier, a tail bag, and a hard top case at the back. This means that the company could be targeting the touring / adventure market. The test mules were fitted with wire-spoke rims. These could be company accessories or a different variant from the standard bike.

Other details on the bike include handlebar guards and a small wind deflector at the front. The fuel tank design is slim, and the bike gets all-around LED lighting. If the bike has to be described in one word, we can say that the bike is lean.& The bike will get a 250-300cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine.

Launch and Production timelines of the Bajaj-Triumph Motorcycle

From the spy images, it appears that the bike is almost ready for production. The launch of the bike may be set sometime in 2023. There will first be a global launch followed soon by the Indian launch.

This bike would head up against the likes of the Royal Enfields, Jawa 42 and TVS Ronin, amongst others.
