Honda launched in Indonesia the new 2022 CB150X, its 150cc sport adventurous crossover motorcycle, based on the ‘naked’ CB150R Streetfire, to fight in the small-displacement adventurer segment.

The CB150X is an ideal motorcycle for day-to-day use, as it allows proper use in the city, and weekend getaways, facing dirt and gravel roads. For this, it has a ground clearance of 180 mm, enough to face bumps, ditches and holes.

The main highlights of the new bike are: upright and comfortable riding position, high and wide tapered handlebars, aerodynamic windshield and dual purpose tires.

Design

The Honda CB150X has a very aggressive design, with muscular lines and well defined angles. There is good protection with fairings, and the sides resemble those of the CB200X model that was launched in India.

The riding position, as mentioned, is upright, achieved with a tall, wide handlebar. The seating is sporty, on two levels. Despite this, the company says it is comfortable during long trips.

Finally, the design is complemented with a tall windshield, under cowl, Showa USD front fork and 5Y-shaped alloy wheels.

Engine and gearbox

The engine of the& 2022 Honda CB150X is the same as the ‘naked’ CB150R, that is, a 149.6 cm³ single cylinder, liquid-cooled and with electronic fuel injection PGM-FI, capable of generating up to 12.4kW (16.6 HP) of maximum power at 9,000 rpm and 13.8Nm (1.39 kgfm) of torque at 7,000 rpm.

Moreover, it works in conjunction with a 6-speed gearbox and final chain drive. The fuel tank capacity is 12 liters with aviation-style cap.

Chassis

The Honda CB150X has a diamond truss steel chassis, with engine aluminum brace. The front suspension is a Showa 37 mm USD fork and the rear is a monoshock absorber.

In terms of braking, it is equipped with disc brakes on both axles. In addition, the wheels are 17″ alloy, and the dual purpose tires have the following dimensions: 100/80-17 at the front and 130/70-17 at the rear. The kurb weight is 139 kg and capacity of the fuel tank is 12 liters.

Technology

The& 2022 Honda CB150X& has a fully digital LCD panel, with advanced features such as gear position indicator, digital clock, average fuel consumption A and B, and instantaneous fuel consumption.

In addition, it has Full-LED lighting, that is, headlights, flashlights and turn signals have this technology.

Price and colors

The new& CB150X will be available in three colors: Volcano Matte Black, Glossy Red and& Matte Green. The price starts at IDR 32,000,000 (approximately US$ 2,244 in a direct conversion). There is no information on whether this model will be sold in other markets.
