Reupholster of the seat

Having bought a used bike, you have to solve some problems, such as replacing the cover on the seat. So I had a small hole, I realized that it will not grow.
I decided reject the leather, because it is expensive and not practical. I was advised a special leatherette for car interior upholstery. The choice is huge, withstands temperature changes, is waterproof, stretches, and is sold in every car market.
I was lucky, by chance I found a small piece fit the color of my bike. For a long time I kept putting this work off, as I had no experience at all. To start with I took measurements with enough, made cuts and stitched.
It was decided to combine two colors to stress the seat. As a result, the coating consisted of four pieces. As it turned out it was a good idea to sew it with pieces, because I didn't have to pull the material strongly to take the correct form of the seat. A friend advised to pull the seat on the old cover, in case it does not work out, at least the old one will remain.
I didn't find a powerful stapler. But did not want to give up the idea. I drilled holes around the rim with an interval of 1cm with a drill in the thickness of the needle.
After I stitched it as they sew the soles of the boots. That's what happened:

After two seasons I decided to repaint the bike completely in white color and to change the seat.

This time I decided to do everything right - remove both covers and add a new one with a stapler.

I did not want to reject the embroidery. I decided to embroider the same pattern. It would be convenient first to paste the paint tape on the fabric for drawing a pattern.
So the material will not stretch and the drawing will turn out to be right and smooth.

Yes, and sewing on the sewing machine will be more convenient. The miller will not let the seam to stretch. It's better to use nylon threads, the thickness is at your wish.
It is better to use electric stapler, the impact force is higher.

It worked out only at the third time. The pattern did not get well into the center of the seat.
