Do you have water-resistant gloves? The whole put plastic mitton on thing over those gloves is just goofy. You can get water proof gloves but they are expensive.

Waterproofing like Nikwax helps stop rain getting in. Also wear gloves inside jacket arms. stops water running down the outside of the arms into the gloves.

I have a boot dryer. It serves 2 perposes. I can put my boots on to dry and i can also take the top boot holder off and put the gloves over the tubes. You can get boot dryers anywhere and they aren’t that expensive.
