Let the adventure begin! 800km ride for $26 for gasoline
We were going to leave at 5 a.m. and I filled a full tank of gasoline, it cost me 950 pesos (about $17)
The first stop for breakfast cost about 300 pesos. (5.5$)
There were a lot of horses everywhere on Sunday, it turns out there were local horse shows on that day
Lunch time! a good place, 2 servings cost us 500 pesos about $9
Beautiful church
We have reached Punta Cana!
The apartments that we booked through booking upset us, the asshole who put them up said he didn't know anything and he sold them and forgot to remove the ad, but he refused to return the money voluntarily and deleted the messages and stopped responding to me, we filed a complaint about booking, and rented another apartment 10 km away.
We wanted to get to the beach, but to be honest, I hate Punta Cana and their hotels, they built up the entire territory and it's impossible to get to the beach, in free places, merchants want money for passage or parking, in the end I didn't get to the beach, but along the way I punched a wheel, I waited about an hour until they fix it
Dinner was pretty good and after a tiring journey, we went to bed
How does your morning start? my friend asked me to find a starbucks and have a coffee, we did it and went to do some paperwork, and then went on the way back
I stopped at another place for a snack, Very cool place and delicious food. lunch cost me about $20 (1100 pesos) more than everywhere else, but it was worth it
We did not drive for 30 minutes as my chain flew off, it turned out 3 bolts were torn off and the rear star was held on 1 bolt, somehow I put the chain in place and we rolled to the nearest mechanic,
it's cool when you can fix your bike anywhere for $11 ($5 work + $6 parts)
then the road was without problems until we got caught in a downpour.
motorcycle stalled, all attempts to start failed, we stood in the rain for an hour, but then one motorcyclist offered to push us to the gas station, but at the same time one guy on a huge truck stopped and offered us help, it was very by the way and we were glad to be dry and warm
our new friend left us at the gas station in the hope that the traffic police would help us fix the motorcycle and we would go on, but they didn't have any tools!!! As a result, I somehow started the motorcycle and we barely got to the neighboring town, where at 10 o'clock in the evening, by a lucky chance, the mechanics were drinking rum near the workshop and I asked if they could help us. they were happy to fix our bike for a bottle of rum. We hit the road and only got home in the dead of night.
Unfortunately, there was no limit to my disappointment, it turns out that when we left in the morning, I forgot to close the door to the balcony, and our little friends took advantage of the situation and flew off on their adventure, I hope they are happy and will find a new home, I will miss you Lilo and Stitch....
