How to protect spine?

Hey guys, Where riding, the road condition is really bad (NJ), probably worst in the country. The roads are very bumpy, even in highway. When passing bumps, I know that we can and should support ourselves using the leg, but sometimes, I just didn't see the bump ahead since there are too many. This is causing discomfort in my back and spine. I wonder if this could be a problem for my spine? If so, would changing the seat (softer) make it better?

Upgrading your rear suspension is the "easiest" way to reduce this. But. It won't solve the issue. Some people buy fancy seats. But in reality the only solutions are don't ride, or, get an ADV bike with longer suspension travel, then upgrade that suspension too.

Ron at Washington Cycle Works in Washington, NJ can set up your suspension alot better for you.

"Moto Skiveez" underwear have padding specifically padded for sportbikes.

I have a Alpinestars KR-3 back protector and it kind of acts like a back brace, especially on long rides.
