Kananaskis Ride
The GB is getting nicely broken in since the rebuild. I put about 150 miles on the freshened engine, then changed the oil and I've done another couple hundred since... mostly around town and to work a couple of times. It's getting a lot stronger and will wheelie off the throttle in first gear without any effort.
The GB made a surprisingly capable all-day steed. The riding position didn't make me too sore and the engine was perfectly happy to cruise along at 75mph, leaving plenty of top-end power for passing cars efficiently. It also used barely any fuel.
I don't normally ride with Harleys.... I'm used to other sport bikes and sport-touring riders. I learned something. Driving somewhere in a car is about the destination. Riding somewhere on a motorcycle is about the journey. And riding somewhere on a Harley is about all the stops for beer along the way.
