A frequently ridden loop on the ST4s today.

From Pollock Pines, CA over to South Lake Tahoe for breakfast, then south over Luther Pass, west over Carson Pass to Kirkwood, then home to Pollock Pines using the Mormon Emigrant Trail.

Made a couple of stops along the way that I've been meaning to do for a long time.

First, near Luther Pass is Grass Lake, an alpine meadow in the fall, but a very shallow lake in the spring. I plan to get some more pictures next spring when it is mostly water.

Second, there is a grove of trees that has been destroyed by wildfire along CA-88 near the Carson Spur Pass that I've often meant to stop and photograph. Today was the day.
