What’s Behind You Matters Too
Just received my Brake Free Smart Brake Light.
I’ve been looking at adding some extra rear visibility to my riding setup. On a motorcycle, we spend a lot of time watching what is happening ahead, but what happens behind us matters just as much.
When slowing down, especially without using much brake, the driver behind may not immediately realise that your speed is dropping. In busy traffic, at junctions or when riding in poor visibility, being noticed a little earlier can make a difference.
The Brake Free mounts directly onto the back of the helmet and activates automatically when slowing down or braking. It works independently from the motorcycle, with no connection to the bike’s brake light.
Next step is mounting it on my Schuberth C5 and seeing how it performs in everyday riding.
How much attention do you give to being seen from behind, and what have you added to your own setup to improve it?
