Where the Harley is best

I own a Harley and a BMW and to compare the 2 is chalk and cheese. But there are times when the Harley is a winner with out doubt.
Riding around in town just minding my own business with my girl on the back. We were just enjoying the day and putting over to a bar with some blues being played.
I came to a main road and looked down it for the gap to enter. A very reasonable opening appeared and I drove into this clear section of traffic with determination not wishing to hold up the approaching barrage of cars. We all know this manoeuvre it is a simple part of life. And bikes will out accelerate almost all cars.
What I had not initially noticed was an aggressive AUDI slicing up through the lanes and veering out from behind an old truck into my lane next to the kerb. But I just stayed in second and twisted the throttle and all was sweet. Or so I thought.
I have respect for truckies and the old rigs are often the best drivers because the driver owns it and has been out on the road for years. I Don’t have respect for AUDI, I find (in my country) the owners are Arrogant Unskilled Dyslexic Imbeciles, but that is purely a personal observation.
A block of traffic was reached ahead of me and being such a fine and cruisey day I stopped in my lane and waited. Squeezed my girls leg and we had a few words. The AUDI made a point of roaring to a halt behind me enough to startle my girl and then proceeded to yell out his opinion of my riding style to all who would listen.
This did not please me at all. Not because he was calling my skill into disrepute. No, he had unnecessarily startled my girl and was also driving himself in a negligent and erratic manor so had no right to cast stones.
I kicked out the stand and stepped off my Harley Davidson FXR and reassured my girl as I turned back I would only annoy the AUDI.
The car had a family inside and the man was behind the wheel. With my first step towards them his wife expressed panic and distress demanding he “get away from that Bikie before he kills us”. Not my intention but amusing none the less.
Immediately without thinking or looking the driver of that AUDI shifted into Reverse and sped away. Straight into the crash bar of the old truck.
I did not even have to say a word and he was annoyed.
I DO NOT think I would have got the same result getting of my BMW.
