Townsville: Day 9

I have been resting up in Bundaberg, Queensland. Spending time with mates from the Army and some family as I watch how the conditions up north develop.

I have advice that the unseasonal rain has affected the roads quite badly at various points. I also have roads south looking dodgy with threats of road closures due to high water if more rain hits.

Pain levels are through the roof and yesterday a message from the hospital that they need new blood samples for my upcoming surgery came through.

So, with a great deal of disappointment, I am turning my face southward. '2 Elles' and I will address the just over 1000km journey home and re-attempt the Townsville trip post surgery and rehab.

I am very disappointed to say the least!
