For bikes tires play a much larger value than for cars, both in the direct and in the mobile reason. And what if the tires are like a piece of art? I can’t find other words to describe this stunning and unique beauty.

Pirelli, one of the most important tire manufacturers in the world, is also the exclusive supplier of Formula 1championship, which serves as an important tool of brand strengthening and is an additional challenge that stimulates the company's technological innovations. It also takes an active part in sports competitions such as Superbike World Championship and British Superbike.7521745914551f3e086.jpg

The leading position in the tire industry is a huge achievement. Besides, the company tries itself in the fashion industry, although the success in this field is not as well known as in the tire producing. It should be mentioned, that Pirelli has started its activity since 1877.

Tire manufacturer Pirelli takes a unique way of introducing their new store in Milan, Italy. Along with a number of flagship product, they presented a tattoo on the tire tread rubber manifold. The impressive part of the show of tattooing tires was provided by a tattoo artist Scott Campbell holding the needle.

Louisiana-born Scott Campbell is known throughout the world as being one of the most talented hands in the world of tattooing. Now he owns and operates the legendary Saved Tattoo in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.

The project was very curious for Campbell, because for the first time it was necessary for him to work with the rubber moto skin, where it was required to use all his gained experience and design a special device to do this.8792195914555e1e26d.jpg

As an entirely new ‘canvas’ for him he used the tread of a Diablo Rosso II tire. Scott combined eye-shaped patterns, heart, and the skull, which he said symbolizes the passion and dynamism of life. He put this complex design by hand, without using of any digital devices. The painted masterpiece was then installed into the special edition Ducati Diavel. Besides, he has also designed the interior of a special edition Dainese jacket, along with St. Christopher, well known as the patron of motorcyclists.

The results of art on rubber were very impressive, so tattooing the Pirelli tire treads has become a base of the EICMA (Esposizione Internazionale Ciclo Motociclo Accessori).

Surely, such tires are produced not for daily use, but mostly for display purposes. But tell me, who would not want to own a masterpiece?
