Ducati superbikes have long been known for running fairly warm. The rear cylinder’s header pipe connects to the engine just under the seat on some of the latest Ducati sportbikes and often creates discomfort, especially on warm summer days.

Header pipe heat issues are now the least for Nitrouz, a Ducati fan. On March 15th, his brand new Ducati Panigale V4 literally caught fire on a busy street in Vancouver. The motorcycle, of course, was under warranty, so it will be replaced.

The new superbike Ducati Panigale V4 is one of the most modern sports motorcycles producing 214 hp and 124 Nm of torque. Also the bike is equipped with advanced electronics system.

Nitrouz, as usual, was riding his new motorcycle Ducati, when he smelled something burning. He looked down and found that his new motorcycle caught fire. He had to park and watch the bike burn. Ducati North America immediately turned to the owner, offered him a new motorcycle free of charge and everything he needed as compensation.

The question remains open. Why did the fire happen and will there be a recall from Ducati? In any case, it's good that no one was hurt. We are waiting for news.
