In the near future, Markus Schramm will take over as the Head of BMW Motorrad. He will succeed Stephan Schaller, who left the BMW Group at the end of February 2018.
Markus Schramm has been with the BMW Group for 28 years. In recent years, he held several senior positions related to sales, planning and product strategy planning, and despite his age (55 years), he did not lose his love for motorcycles and sports.
Let’s remind, that the former boss of BMW Motorrad, Stefan Schaller, held out for about six years. During this time, he managed to establish a business partnership with Indian TVS, update the entire GS line of motorcycles, produce the R-9T model for hipsters and launch production of the low-cost G310R and G310GS models for beginners. In addition, he got rid of Husqvarna in time, transferring it to the reliable hands of the Austrians from KTM.
The new appointment promises changes in the Bavarian brand, and only the time will show whether they will be positive.
