Chaz Davies (Aruba.it Racing – Ducati) who won the last four races on the Italian track, showed the best time on the last lap of FP3 and shared the first place with Jonathan Rea (Kawasaki Racing Team WorldSBK), who also passed his best lap in FP3 session. However, according to the summary Davies takes the first place due to his second-best lap (1m 46.737s) being faster than Rea’s – by one thousandth of a second.

Marco Melandri (Aruba.it Racing – Ducati) showed the third fastest time according to all three sessions with a time of 1m 47.126s - 0.440 seconds off the leading pace.
