Canadian-based Lito Motorcycles has introduced the new Sora Generation 2 electric motorcycle, which is touted as a superbike, capable to accelerate to 60 mph in three seconds.
The three-phase liquid-cooled engine is powered by a lithium-ion battery and produces 90 Nm of torque and 108 hp.It features an aluminum chassis with Öhlins suspension. The bodywork and wheels are made of carbon fiber. The motorcycle weighs 550 pounds – it is 25 pounds less than the first version. The customer can also choose Michelin Pilot Power 2CT or Michelin Power RS tires.
Lito engineers decided to installa CVT, as well as reverse. Final drive is via a belt.
The 18 kWh lithium battery delivers a 50 percent increase in comparison with the first generation. The battery claims a maximum range of 180 miles, while the 3.3 kW onboard charger has cut recharging time by half to five hours. The battery has a five-year warranty, with the rest of the motorcycle having a two-year warranty.
