To find such a coin in the depths of the forest is this a success or not? Well, probably it is a bit of good luck. How often has this happened in your life? Unlikely it was so often. Nearly 90% of the 100 will pass by without knowing what treasures were under their feet.

Professional treasure hunters are unlikely to be exchanged for such a trifle. Their task is more difficult and at the same time more interesting, to find and transfer to the descendants of what was considered irretrievably lost. Dig out from the ground that which had been lost, forgotten for decades, or maybe hundreds of years.

And all the more rare luck of finding a real motorcycle, a whole motorcycle. You cannot see that every day.

In 2013, military archaeologists found the complete motorcycle L-300 Red October. According to archaeologists, this motorbike was hidden by the retreating units of the Soviet army in the summer of 1941. And even after 72 years, the device remained in good condition thanks to the sandy soil and the conservation undertaken by fighters of the Red Army. The future fate of the L-300, judging by the sources on the Internet, turned out well, it was restored and is now an exhibit of one of the Moscow museums.

Photos are striking in their surrealism. It seems that you can wash away the dirt from the L-300 Red October motorcycle dug from the ground, pour in technical fluids and pump up tires and it with ease will start and with it, you can go on the road.

This is the first serial Soviet motorcycle.

Motorcycles of the first years of release were produced in 1933. They had 300 cc see engine displacement (encoded in its name, the letter "L" meant the city of Leningrad, 300 is the displacement of a motorcycle).

L-300 was produced at the factory "Red October".

Motorcycle Specifications:

The engine is single-cylinder, two-stroke, displacement is 293 сс, power 6-6.5 hp. The motorcycle accelerated to a maximum speed of 46 mph. The fuel tank had a capacity of 12 liters. The consumption of the L-300 was 4-4.5 liters per 62 miles. There are three steps in the transmission. Dry weight - 275 lb.

Unfortunately, a little over several dozen of these beautiful and amazing bikes have survived to our days. Even fewer original by complete set motorcycles. Although the volume produced by the L-300 "Red October" for nine years from 1931 to 1940 amounted to 18.985 motorcycles.
